LLANGOLLEN EXPEDITION WEEKEND |
This year me and a group of friends decided to go away for the weekend. We travelled by bus and train and even taxi to llangollen Llangollen is a small town and community in Denbighshire, north-east Wales, situated on the River Dee and on the edge of the Berwyn mountains.
The plan was just a 3 day 2 night expedition in two different locations. The first night was a camp at the top of Castell Dinas Brân it is a medieval castle standing high on a hill above the town of Llangollen in Denbighshire, Wales. It is also the site of an Iron Age hill fort. This is where I photographed this picture (left). after a cold and windy night the spirit was still high withThe great view of worlds end in the morning and the heat of the sun rising we headed down for our breakfast in the town.the big adventure started when we left for our second destination which was the top of the ponderosa in a old slate quarry. |
